PUP Leader says if they win 2 municipalities in 2018, they will be ahead

By BBN Staff: PUP Party Leader, John Briceno told 7 News yesterday that the PUP currently has in control one municipality which is Orange Walk and if they win two, they will be ahead.

Briceno told Jules Vasquez of 7 News:

We have one. So if we win two, we are ahead. Let’s put it this way. But more importantly we in the PUP fight for every election. We are going to fight the UDP in every municipality, despite the fact that they have padded the voting list. We are going to fight. I fight to win.”

Briceno also stated that money is needed to win  but money does not win an election. “Good candidates, good message, love for country and love for people is what makes you win,” the PUP leader said. According to Briceno, that is what the PUP has to offer right now.

The PUP currently has 5 of 67 municipal seats in the country.
