By BBN Staff: The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) has budgeted $1.4 million dollars in this fiscal year. FIFA is set to provide $1 million in funding.

Interestingly, more than half of the budget or $848,000 will be spent on administrative costs of running the FFB offices.

According to Acting President of the FFB, Marlon Kuylen, the running of the FFB is labor intensive and “it increases when we have national team for instance, in camp, because then we have to hire a number of coaches, doctors and so forth but it is justifiable.”

He added, “We are looking at ways to streamline and more than just having to spend that much money on administration that it is being spent on people that are well qualified, because for instance you might have two persons doing the job of one and so forth.”
