Mennonite Businessman murdered in Guatemala

By BBN Staff: BBN has been reliably informed by residents of the Spanish Lookout community that a Mennonite businessman, Eddie Braun was murdered in Guatemala on Tuesday, 5^th September.

Details surrounding the incident are sketchy but according to our sources, the incident occurred somewhere between Melchor de Mencos and Flores in the Department of Peten. Braun’s parents have since left for Guatemala in an attempt to bring the body of the slain businessman home.

Braun was known to be a regular visitor to Guatemala in the past and Mennonite sources tell BBN that he was allegedly involved in some ‘dubious’ activities there. Accordingly, he was trying to change his life, joining the Fountain of Life church in Spanish Lookout and offering up his personal testimony of change.

In grieving the death of Eddie Braun, the Fountain of Life church posted a video on ‘Youtube’ where Eddie shared his recent life change. In their posting, Fountain of Life church stated “We choose to celebrate his salvation in Christ instead of focusing on Eddie’s dark past”.
