By BBN Staff: According to police reports, a body was found shortly after 2:00 today in the Macal River.

The body was retrieved a short distance from the new bridge.

Police believe it to be a case of murder as the body was reportedly found with stab wounds and was in a state of decomposition.

A post-mortem examination will be conducted shortly.

The person is of dark complexion and was found shirtless with a pair of black trousers.

Police have not yet identified the victim. The investigation continues.
