By BBN Staff: On Sunday, BBN reported of a man that was shot to the forehead in Orange Walk.
Gustavo Hernandez, 22, was found on the San Antonio Road around 5:30 Sunday morning.
Yesterday, police confirmed that Hernandez had succumbed to his injuries at around 6:30 on Sunday night, while undergoing treatment at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) in Belize City. His body is at the morgue awaiting a post-mortem examination.
Hernandez was the witness in the murder of Daniel Sosa that occurred on July 29 in Orange Walk town.
Hilmer Alamilla, a well-known associate of former government minister Gaspar Vega, was accused of Sosa’s killing and charged for his murder. Hernandez was to give evidence in the upcoming trial.
