Man shot on Elston Kerr Street in Belize City

By BBN Staff: A Belize City man is lucky to be alive after a gunman opened fire on him last night.

According to police reports, at around 8:00 p.m., Scheffield Ysaguirre, 30, was walking on Elston Kerr street when a man fired several shots in his direction causing injuries to his stomach.

Ysaguirre was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) where he is admitted in a critical but stable condition.

Police are investigating.
