By BBN Staff: BBN has learnt that as of midnight tonight, the cost of fuel will see another hike.

Regular fuel will go up by 92 cents for a total of $11.13 per gallon.

Diesel will also see an increase of 37 cents for a total of $9.63 per gallon.

The cost of Premium/Super will remain at $10.99 per gallon.

The cost of Kerosene will also remain at $5.68 per gallon.

Readers will recall that the Prime Minister indicated that the Government of Belize will not be able to secure fuel from Houston, Texas, because of damages caused by Hurricane Harvey.

Instead Belize will now have to secure fuel from El Salvador.

Prime Minister Dean Barrow has indicated that a large portion of fuel taxes are to help meet the budgetary deficiencies for the fiscal year 2017/18.
