12-year-old girl dies in fatal traffic accident

By BBN Staff: Last night around 9, police responded to a traffic accident on the  Philip Goldson Highway where they saw a blue Mazda 4×4 pickup truck in a drain facing toward Orange Walk.

Police also saw a grey Toyota Corolla off the road facing the direction of Belize City.

At the time, the blue Mazda was occupied by David Polanco, Darcie Lopez , Tyrone Parham , Dafnie Polanco, Davisha Polanco and one Davina.

Jadiel Usher and Dion Skeen were travelling in the grey Toyota Corolla.

Investigation reveals that both vehicles were travelling in the direction from Orange Walk to Belize City when the Grey Corolla lost control and collided into the blue Mazda causing both vehicles to overturn.

As a result, Dafnie Polanco, 12, lost her life.

David Polanco complained of pain to the left arm, left leg and left side of head.

Darcie Lopez complained of pain to the left arm, Tyron Parham sustained a cut wound to the left side of the head and Davisha Polanco complained of pain to the left arm and left side of the head.

Usher and Skeen didn’t sustained any injury.

Twelve year old Dafnie was pronounced dead at 12:13 AM.
