Fire in Spanish Lookout last night

By BBN Staff: Sometime around 10 p.m. last night, police visited Midwest Lumber Yard located on Center Road in Spanish Lookout Village situated in the Cayo District.

There officers saw a zinc building completely engulfed in flames.

Initial investigation revealed that Allan Reimer, 50, a Mennonite businessman and owner of Midwest Lumber Yard was at home at 8 p.m. when he received a call that the Lumber Dryer House was on fire.

He quickly proceeded to the area but it was already too late.

He revealed that someone had accidentally left on the lumber dryer which caught fire.

The total amount of damage was $20,000 and the building was not insured.
