Minister Castro’s daughter-in-law busted with 26 pounds of weed

By BBN Staff: Shayanne Castro, 27, the wife of Wasani Castro, son of Transport Minister, Edmund Castro, was busted with over 26 pounds of marijuana in her home over the weekend.

According to police, around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday night, cops visited her residence on Sarstoon street and conducted a search.

During that search, cops found a black garbage bag containing a total of 11,900 grams or 26.2 pounds of cannabis.

A further search of the house led to the discovery of a knapsack that contained another 128 grams of cannabis.

Together the cannabis weighed 12,028 grams or 26.5 pounds of ganja.

Castro was subsequently arrested and charged for a single count of  ‘possession of a controlled  drug with intent to supply to another’.
