By BBN Staff: Family and friends walked today in peaceful protest in Belize City, demanding justice and answers in the disappearance of 17-year-old Kelvin Usher.

Usher was last seen on Sunday in Lucky Strike village as the Gang Suppression Unit raided the property and arrested his father for cultivating marijuana.

The group of protesters walked to the Belcan Bridge and then made their way in front of the Queen Street police station where they chanted “ GSU have to go”, “We want answers” and “Bring Kelvin home”. On social media, viewers expressed their solidarity with the family and friends and joined their call in demanding answers from authorities.

Police moved quickly and the crowd made way for the flow of traffic to continue.

The protesters then proceeded back to the Belcan bridge where more law enforcement officers were waiting for them including Southside Commander, Marco Vidal.

The protest was peaceful and went without incident.
