By BBN Staff: Belize leaders for social justice have planned a demonstration to be held next week Thursday, October 5, 2017 in Belize City.

The protest is being called for Belizeans to express their discontent with the recent hike in fuel prices.

It is scheduled to begin at 10 am at the Constitution Park, will proceed to Battlefield Park and then unto Albert Street, Belize City.

Community activist, Moses Sulph who is a member of the group told BBN that the demonstration is to make a stand against the high gas prices.

He said,“The Belize Leaders for Social Justice needs everyone. Only by coming together in numbers can we be successful. Premium Gas Price should not be above $8 per gallon, which would still make it the most expensive in the region. The price will continue to go up should we not express our dissatisfaction.”

The group is inviting all Belizeans to join them.
