Marcel Samuels shot dead

By BBN Staff: A post mortem examination conducted on Friday revealed that Marcel Samuels, 62, a career butcher, died of “massive brain damage due to gunshot injuries.”

At about 5:45 a.m. on Friday, he and his wife exited a bus at Mile 19 and a half on the George Price Highway en route to their cattle farm in the Butcher Burns area.

However, while they were walking down the road, two men on motorbike pulled up and one of them shot Samuels in the head.

His wife was then hit in her head with a machete but received no serious injuries.

Police have not yet made any arrests.
