Briceno says GSU should remove ex UDP ministers from Immigration Office

Posted: Tuesday, October 3, 2017. 1:54 p.m. CST.

By BBN Staff: Last Wednesday, Diana Locke, Director of Immigration Department, told the Senate Select Committee that there were two ex UDP Ministers who continue to intervene in the work of the Immigration Department.

When asked for a comment on this revelation on Saturday, John Briceno, Leader of the People’s United Party (PUP) told the press that those ex Ministers should be removed by the Gang Suppression Unit
(GSU).

He said, “Just by them showing their faces out there, it gives the impression as if they can carry favor from the government because they were former ministers of the UDP and there are going to be a lot of
unsuspecting people, citizens that are trying to get their nationality that don’t know better and can be taken or could probably have been taken advantage of. I don’t know, but probably it has happened.”

Briceno further commented, “I think the Prime Minister needs to call them out and tell them that they need to stop and if they don’t stop then – since he loves the GSU well then send the GSU  to get them out of the immigration department.”
