By BBN Staff: Police have arrested and charged two men in connection with last Thursday’s murder of Luis Sierra. Saul Campos, 34, and Lyndon Lewis, 31, have been arrested and charged for ‘murder’ and ‘conspiracy to commit robbery’ respectively. Lewis has since been let out on bail.
Campos and Luis were detained by police and Friday. They were arraigned and charged on Monday in the Dangriga Magistrate’s Court. Campos was remanded to prison and Lewis was granted a $3,000 bail.
Last Thursday Sierra went to a farm at mile 18 on the Hummingbird highway to do business with Lewis, who it is believed lured Sierra to his death. Sierra’s family believes he was lured there because they wanted to rob him. Campos is believed to be the gunman who shot Sierra to the abdomen.
After being shot, Sierra reportedly called his family and told them he had been shot before the phone cut off.
