By BBN Staff: On Friday, September 29, the United States Embassy’s Consular Section hosted it’s first-ever open house for representatives from government offices, non-profits, travel agencies, internet cafes and others who assist with filling out visa applications.
The open house provided an opportunity for customers to see the embassy’s waiting room and meet the vice consuls and staff in person.
Invitees also had the opportunity to ask questions regarding the visa process and to address some common mistakes people make, especially with regard to photo requirements.
Among the topics discussed was the interview waiver program, which waives interviews for children under 14 and elderly citizens over 79.
