By BBN Staff: The Amandala newspaper has reported that last Wednesday three Guatemalan cops arrived in Barranco, Toledo.

The foreign cops told villagers that they were sent to the Sarstoon area to recover a dead body.

However, after the villagers revealed to the men that they were on Belizean soil, the cops claimed that they had gotten lost.

Thereafter they quickly got into their boats and left the area.

Residents in the area doubt that the men were actually lost and further suspect that they were simply operating in our waters and on our land.

When Amandala spoke to the Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Home Affairs, George Lovell, he conceded that he had no report on the matter.

However, he did reveal that in order for the Guatemalan cops to have arrived on Belize territory, they had to pass our Forward Operating Base (FOB).

According to Lovell, he will look into the matter.
