Two injured in stabbing incident

BBN Staff: Yesterday morning around 1:31, police responded to information of a stabbing incident and visited New Road, Toledo.

Police saw Javier Martinez, 22, a driver of Bella Vista village, suffering from multiple stab wounds to his head and body.

Investigations reveal that Martinez and Daniel Mejia, 25, were involved in an altercation which ended in Mejia stabbing Martinez.

Martinez was transported to the Southern Regional Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Mejia also sustained a cut wound to his hand.

Police have since detained Mejia pending investigation.
