Police issues report on murder of Belize City taxi man

By Zoila Palma: Last night around 7:30, police responded to reports of a shooting incident and responded to Hicatee Street where they saw a grey Lincoln town car inside the drain.

Police saw Albert Anthony Cattouse,72, a Belizean taxi driver of Lords Bank Village, Belize District with a gunshot wound to the back of the head and forehead apparently dead in the vehicle.

Police investigation reveals that Cattouse was driving his taxi car from the direction of West Collet Canal heading towards Dolphin Street and upon passing Bocotora Street shots were heard in the area.

The car was then seen inside the drain near Rogers Stadium fence.

Cattouse was pronounced dead on arrival at the KHMH.

Police investigations continue.
