Francis Humphreys wins UDP convention in Dangriga

By BBN Staff: Over the weekend, the United Democratic Party (UDP) held its municipal convention in Dangriga.

UDP Chairman, Alberto August, announced the winners after the ballots were counted.

After the votes were counted, Francis Humphreys emerged victorious garnering 914 votes while his competitor Herbert Nicasio got 322 votes.

Twelve candidates competed for councilor posts to join the UDP team.

The six victorious candidates were Cheryl Molina with 754 votes,  Alexander Joseph with 692 votes,  Aaron Gongora with 687 votes,  Earth Lopez with 627 votes, Gary Francisco with 624 and  Yadira Diego with 603 votes.

The unsuccessful candidates were Therese Ariola,  Alden Chavez, Anthony Garbutt,  Marshall Mejia, Patricia Usher, and Augustine Sabal.
