By BBN Staff: An elderly Guatemalan national busted with drugs has been charged for trafficking.
According to police, on Monday at 5:45 a.m., cops visited the Western Border where Customs Officers handed over Guatemalan farmer, Ricardo Cardona Carillo, 75.
According to sources, he was trying to cross the border into Belize with a plastic bag containing 907.18 grams of cannabis.
A search conducted by Customs led to the discovery and as a result Carrillo was arrested and charged.
