Armed masked men rob almost $4000 from Chinese Grocery Store in Orange Walk

By BBN Staff: Last night around 7:30, Ziguan Tan, 55, a Chinese businessman and owner of Tan Store located on Black Water Street, Trial Farm Village, Orange Walk District reported that around 7:00 p.m., whilst in his store, two masked men entered his store.

Tan told police that one of the men was armed with a handgun and pointed it at him.

The culprit then relieved him of his license 9mm Beretta pistol loaded with (10) 9mm luger rounds which he had stuck on his waist.

The men then stole about $1,000 from the cash register, 1 IPhone 7 valued at $1,800, 1 GSM Huawei cell phone with $2,000 calling credit valued at $800.00 and 1 CDMA Samsung cell phone with $20.00 calling credit valued at $85, all to a total value of $3,685.00.

Police are investigating.
