Belize City Primary Schools participate in History and Social Studies Competition

By Zoila Palma:  Yesterday, the Belize City House of Culture and the Downtown Rejuvenation Project commenced its zone eliminations for the Belize City Primary School History and Social Studies Competition.

A total of seventeen primary schools are participating in the two days  event at the Bliss Centre for the Performing Arts. The competition started yesterday,October 19th and will end today, October 20th.

The competition is the collaborative effort between the Belize City House of Culture and the Downtown Rejuvenation Project, the Belize Archives and Records Service, and the Belize National Library Service and Information System.

The initiative is also being supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Belize City Council, National Institute of Culture and History, and Taiwan International Cooperation Development Fund (ICDF).
