By Zoila Palma: Since yesterday, constant rains have been battering Belize.

Several primary schools have called off classes because of flooding in their compounds and class rooms.

The low lying wooden bridge in San Ignacio/ Santa Elena is closed.

Residents travelling to Spanish Lookout are advised that the Iguana Creek bridge is also under water.

BBN readers have also sent photos of the George Price Highway in Ladyville, Belize District with vehicular traffic passing through the flooded highway.

Residents in Southern Belize are also still experiencing localized flooding due to heavy rainfall.

The National Meteorological Service is reporting that periods of rain will continue over most areas.

A cold front is expected to cross over Belize tomorrow.

The outlook for Wednesday and Wednesday night is for cloudy and windy weather with some showers mainly over the coast and south.
