By Zoila Palma: Belize is scheduled to host the fourth CARICOM-Mexico Summit tomorrow.
For this occasion, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, is expected to make his first visit to Belize.
Prior to the opening of the Summit, Prime Minister Dean Barrow is scheduled to have a bilateral meeting with President Peña Nieto.
The two heads of state will evaluate the state of the bilateral relations between Mexico and Belize.
Their discussions will focus on the strengthening of cooperation in the areas of education, sports, maritime security, as well as economic and political cooperation.
The dignitaries will consider further ways to strengthen the legal framework between Belize and Mexico.
Mexico is an important south-south development partner for Belize and is among our top five development cooperation partners.
