Business and Opposition Senators demand more info on $12 Million Haulover loan

BBN Staff: At today’s Senate meeting several bills were tabled, including the Land Tax Amendment Bill 2017, International Banking Amendment Bill 2017,  and the $12 million OPEC Fund for International Development loan for the Haulover bridge.

Business and Opposition senators, Mark Lizarraga and Eamon Courtenay, respectively each requested more details on the Haulover Bridge Replacement loan motion 2017.

Government Senator Carla Barnett responded explaining that the motion for today was only for the approval of the loan and that details will be provided in the budget estimates for 2018-2019.

Head of Government Business, Senator Godwin Hulse added that the government has spent on infrastructure and infrastructure that looks good.
