Belize Archives & Records Service to hold lecture on colonialism and the making of southern Belize

By BBN Staff: The Belize Archives and Records Service (BARS) will host its first lecture in its Lecture Series in Punta Gorda Town, Toledo on November, 3,  2017 at the Fr. Francis J. Ring, S.J. Parish Hall from 11 am to 12 pm.

The Lecture Series is intended to showcase the rich collection of historical records at the Belize Archives and Records Service.

Dr. Joel Wainwright will speak on “Mapping, Colonialism and the Making of Southern Belize”.

Dr. Wainwright is a Professor of Geography at Ohio State University and has carried out substantial research at the Belize Archives and Records Service and published several articles on Southern Belize.

The Belize Archives and Records Service cordially invites the general public to this informative lecture.
