By BBN Staff: A Belize City man was beaten, knocked out, and shot near a Belize City bar yesterday.
According to police, they visited the Karl Huesner Memorial Hospital where they saw Paul Gilbert Moro, 22, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the left elbow, a cut wound over his left eye as well as bruises and abrasion over his body.
Initial police investigations revealed that around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Moro was behind the popular “Bucket Bar” on Regent Street West, when several men attacked him and left him unconscious.
Police are investigating.
