Blackman Eddy Village gets playground set

By BBN Staff: This morning, Officer Commanding Belmopan Police, Sr. Supt. Howell Gillett handed over a playground set to the children of Blackman Eddy Village. In a brief ceremony held at 9:00 am today, Chairperson of Blackman Eddy Village, Emerita Flowers thanked Sr. Supt. Gillett for the donation and installation of the playground set and promised to take good care of the facilities.

In his address Sr. Supt. Gillett told the gathering that it is the intention of his formation “to create more positive young people with more positive memories so that later on they become more creative and positive adults”.

Sr. Supt. Gillett told BBN that giving kids positive things to do to occupy their spare time is strategic.

Gillett thanked Joe Mena and the Wood Stop for the generous donation.

Students from the Primary School in Blackman Eddy sang the national anthem.
