Video of drunk officer lands him in trouble

BBN Staff: A video has been circulating on social media showing a police officer in uniform allegedly drunk in front of a business establishment in Belmopan City.

The incident occurred on Saturday night and the officer can be seen stumbling and leaning up against a car to stand.

This morning, Officer Commanding Belmopan police, Sr. Supt. Howell Gillett informed that Cpl. Glen Arzu, who is seen visibly drunk in uniform in the video, works at the Roaring Creek police station and will be disciplined today.

“Morning, there’s a video circulating with Cpl. Glen Arzu apparently drunk in uniform. He works at Roaring Creek police station. I have directed that he be disciplined before midday today. We are really sorry that this occurred,” Gillett stated.
