By BBN Staff: Last night before 11:00, Belize City police officers patrolling Tibruce street saw a man riding a bicycle and ran when he saw the cops. He reportedly took an item from under his shirt and threw it over a fence into a yard.
He was intercepted and a search was conducted on him but nothing incriminating was found.
He was then escorted to the area where he was seen throwing the object and police recovered a .38 special revolver with two .38 GFL brand rounds, a .38 Augila brand round and two GFL .38 special brand shell casings.
Today, police formally arrested and charged Devon Nicholas, 22, for ‘kept firearm without having been granted a gun license’ and ‘kept ammunition without having been granted a gun license’.
