Young man found dead in Benque

By BBN Staff: According to reports, yesterday morning, the body of an 18-year-old man was found in Benque Viejo del Carmen.

Oscar Obando was found dead on a farm between the Guatemala and Belize border.

Obando had a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police report that the area where the body was found is an isolated place between miles 25 and 26 on the Benque Viejo road.

Obando’s personal belongings were found with him. Police believe that the motive was not robbery.

It is not certain what the recent graduate was doing at that location.
