Body of missing Corozal man found

Zoila Palma: On Monday, BBN reported that Teodoro Pena of San Narciso, Corozal and his friend Isael Novelo,38, went out fishing in the Rio Hondo on November 4, 2017.

Pena told police that whilst heading back home, their canoe capsized and he could not find Isael.

Police reports that the body of Novelo was found in the Rio Hondo River near Louiseville Village, Corozal District yesterday.

A medical officer certified the cause of death as drowning.

Police do not suspect foul play.
