By BBN Staff: Yohnny Rosado, tour operator/activist and owner of Cavetubing.com, staged a protest yesterday along with fellow activists to condemn what he calls an “outrageous, unfair and unjust” $700,000 arrears assessment from the General Sales Tax (GST) department.

Rosado, who held a press conference a couple weeks ago along with Citizens Organized for Liberty through Action (COLA), said he cannot pay the bill and said it has put a major strain on his personal life and his business but he intends to keep the social pressure on the government.

The protest, which saw little more than 50 participants, marched up and down outside the GST office at the Complex building in Belize City. According to Rosado, he is considering selling his two businesses because he cannot afford to pay the bill.
