American doctor dies while crossing the river at ATM Cave site

>By BBN Staff: Yesterday afternoon around 1:00, police visited the Western Regional Hospital where they observed the lifeless body of Madhukar Jiggini, 68, an American doctor of California, USA.

Police investigations revealed that Jiggini was along with his wife and other tourists doing a river crossing at the ATM Cave in Teakettle Village, Cayo when he began feeling weak and lost consciousness.

Jiggini was immediately taken out of the river and transported to the Western Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There was no sign of violence on the body and no foul play is suspected.

The body now awaits a postmortem examination.
