Armenia villagers arrested for killing Carlos Navarro

72178015588277gmail-m_-1829387711250196067gmail-MsoNormal">By BBN Staff: Yesterday, Belmopan police formally arrested and charged, Jose Valladarez, 29, for murder and Amelia Garrido, 27, for abetment to commit murder.

The Armenia villagers are accused of murdering Carlos Navarro, a Guatemalan laborer of Armenia.

Navarro’s body was found about 150 yards off a feeder road, on the Hummingbird Highway on Monday.

The body was in an advanced state of decomposition.

A postmortem examination was conducted on site and the cause of death was certified as a gunshot injury to the chest.
