Head of the National Crimes Investigation Branch, ACP Joseph Myvett said police did receive information about the attempted kidnapping but said the incident remains under investigation as no report has been made. The lecturer reportedly escaped unharmed.
According to reports, the teacher was leaving the school’s compound around 8:00 on Wednesday night when a man approached her, bound her wrists and was about to put her in a vehicle when she started making noise to alert nearby passers. The school has reportedly met to discuss security issues.
