Police investigation revealed that at 3 AM yesterday, a male person dressed in full black was seen running away from the house and shortly thereafter the house was engulfed in flames.
The fire was later extinguished by personnel from the Fire Department.
The house is the property of Seronica Garbutt, a Belizean who is out of the country.
According to police reports, her 1997 Honda CRV SUV which was parked in front of her house was also set on fire but quick response from the neighbors extinguished the fire.
The house and its content valued at $38,000 were completely destroyed and were not insured.
No one was at the home at the time of the fire.
Police investigation continues.
