Iguana Creek Bridge in Cayo impassable

Posted: Monday, November 20, 2017. 11:19 am CST.

BBN Staff: Residents traveling to Spanish Lookout are advised that the Iguana Creek bridge near Spanish Lookout in the Cayo District is under water and completely impassable due to heavy rains yesterday and last night.

The Macal River is also rising rapidly but as of this morning, the low lying wooden bridge was still open.

The National Meteorological Service of Belize reported this morning that moist conditions with some showers and periods of rain will continue.
