Family believes Clinton Davis was killed over land dispute

BBN Staff: Clinton Arthur Davis, a 53-year-old father of four and owner of Davis Beach at mile 4 on the George Price highway, was found dead in a swamp on his property on Friday morning, three days since he was last seen by his family.

Davis’ daughter last saw him on Tuesday evening but his family grew worried when he never came home that night. The family believes Davis was murdered because of an ongoing land dispute over the property they live on. Davis had lived on and developed the property for over three decades.

Police confirmed that Davis was found with an abrasion to the head. No other details have yet been released by police.

The family believes Davis was killed elsewhere before his body was dumped on the property he guarded and fought to secure. The family says Davis was threatened several times by the person with whom he had the dispute.
