By BBN Staff: The inauguration of the Corozal Wholesale Farmer’s Market will be held on December 1st 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at the Corozal Wholesale Farmer’s Market, Corozal Town.

The Construction of the Corozal Wholesale Farmer’s Market worth a total of $384,032.00 was financed by the European Union through funds from the AMS 2013 programme.

The market will serve as the center where farmers will bring their produce to sell and will offer adequate facilities for the vendors, and thus, will improve and enhance their quality of life and the local economy.

Minister of Agriculture, Godwin Hulse; Minister of Labour, Local Government, Rural Development, Public Service, Energy & Public Utilities, Hugo Patt; Mayor of Corozal Town, Hilberto Campos; National Authorizing Officer, Yvonne Hyde; along with Nicolaus Hansmann representing Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Belize, Ambassador Malgorzata Wasilewska, will officiate at the function.

Representatives of Contracting firm, Teichroeb & Sons Ltd.; as well as other senior public officials will also participate in the ceremony.
