Lucky Courts customer wins $30,000

BBN Staff: One lucky Courts customer, this week, is feeling the Christmas spirit a little early after having won $30,000 cash as part of Courts’ special holiday raffle.

The lucky winner, Paul Ruiz, was in for a surprise, however, as Courts told him he had won a microwave. “We told him that he won a microwave to spice it up and make it more fun,” Grisel Carballo, Unicomer public relation officer said.

Ruiz, after a brief moment of confusion, said he was surprised there was so much media attention for a microwave. After being informed of his actual prize, Ruiz was presented with a cheque for $30,000.

Ruiz said he will use the money to make home improvements and said it would be a special Christmas indeed. Ruiz also said he would continue shopping at Courts.
