Youth killed by police identified

em>By BBN Staff: Yesterday, we reported on a youth killed by a police officer in the Arizona area of Teakettle.

Police had only referred to him as ‘Jose.’

However, our colleagues at 7News were able to obtain his identity.

He is Edwin Antonio Baires Hernandez, a 20 year old Salvadoran national.

He was shot and bled to death shortly after 3 pm during a police chase.

Police say their gun fell and accidentally discharged while villagers claimed that police fired three shots at him to kill him.
