By BBN Staff: Yesterday, BBN reported on a protest in Teakettle village where residents were allegedly burning tires in the Arizona area of the village.
Belmopan police swiftly responded to the incident and took the protestors to the Belmopan police station.
Today, two of the three people detained were charged for illegal assembly and were offered police bail. One of the persons was additionally charged with illegal entry.
They are Mervin Corea, Belizean Farmer; Plines Gutierrez, Salvadoran Mechanic and Guadalupe Guerra of Teakettle village.
