By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Agriculture’s Research, Development & Innovation Center in Central Farm, Cayo District has concluded a five-day training on capacity building for the “Improvement of the Production and Uses of Coconuts”.
This training is in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Mexican counterpart-SAGARPA.
The training concluded today Friday, December 8, benefiting a total of 30 coconut growers and technical personnel from the Ministry of Agriculture and representatives from the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI).
Facilitators for the training were coconut expert Dr. Feliciano Gerardo Balderas and Ms. Matilde Cortazar Rios, both from the Mexican National Institute of Forestry, Agriculture and Fisheries (INIFAP).
