Police have no suspects in weekend murder

By BBN Staff: We had previously reported on the murder of a watchman on duty over the weekend.

Today, police confirmed that sometime around 3:15 a.m. on Saturday, Baltazar Sarmiento was on duty at Buca Gas Station on the Philip Goldson Highway when he was shot in the head.

BBN understands that the men came by boat and attempted to burglarize the gas station but Sarmiento refused them entry and that was when they fired a single shot and fled the scene on a boat.

Police say that Sarmiento was unarmed.

Police have not yet made any arrests and have not yet identified any suspects.
