BBN Staff: This evening, BBN reported of a dynamite explosion that occurred in a quarry hill in Santa Cruz, Santa Elena town.

BBN has been able to confirm that one person has died as a result of the explosion.

Several other people remain hospitalized after the loud bang shook Santa Elena town.

Many homes and a few vehicles sustained severe damages.

Police are yet to issue an official report on this incident.
