The new Town Hall is a three story building located adjacent to Falcon Field in San Ignacio town.
It comes at a cost of $1.7 million and boasts elevators and spacious office areas.
Trapp explained that the building took about 10 months to complete and that some of the spaces will be rented out for government offices, which will bring in revenue for the town council.
Minister of Local Government, Labour and Rural development, Hugo Patt was present at the ceremony.
