By BBN Staff: According to a report from 7News, the Social Security Board (SSB) did not approve a loan for the repair of the Caye Caulker airstrip.
Yesterday, SSB Chairman, Doug Singh, confirmed that the loan for over $3 million, which was recommended by the Investment Committee was not approved by the board of directors.
Singh told the media that the Board issued a statement saying that the Belize Airport Authority could re-submit an application for the third time.
The initial application $7 million was rejected by the Investment Committee.
