By BBN Staff: Belize police have not arrested the man that was busted with 6 kilos of cocaine earlier this week in Chetumal, Mexico even though authorities have a copy of his driver’s license and they know that he is from Ranchito Village, Corozal District.
On Wednesday, the man was inside a Lincoln Navigator heading from Belize to Mexico. However, while on the Mexican side of the border, authorities saw something suspicious when the vehicle went through an X-ray. That was when they found the cocaine in a secret compartment on the dashboard of the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle quickly turned around and raced back to the Belize side of the border.
He got a blow out and crashed into a wall and he then jumped out of the vehicle and vanished on foot.
